Tip of the day
Don't take in pictures to your artist of other peoples tattoos, clip art off of pinterest, google or whatever and expect them to copy it or change it just a little bit. It's very insulting to an actual artist.
Instead, use your verbal skills and describe what you are looking for, take in actual photos of the subject you are looking for to assist your description (ie; if you want a rose, take in a photo of an actual rose you like) Describe the style that you're looking for. If you do not know the name of the style, then and only then is it appropriate to show the artist someone elses tattoo.
If your artist cannot do what you are looking for, shop for a new one. It's not something you should base on a social experience, this is permanent! Be original and stop treating your artist like a tattoo vending machine. Have some value in yourself and respect for others.
